Rajouri, Aug 4: Police under supervision of Dr Haseeb Mughal, SSP Rajouri has launched a special drive against the violators of Motor Vehicle Act (MVA) to ensure the safety of the passengers and pedestrians across the district today and challaned 48 vehicles and also seized seven vehicles besides some music systems alongwith speakers from the passenger vehicles. According to police, under this drive Rajouri police laid special nakas at various locations on various roads in Rajouri, Thanamndi, Nowshera, Manjakot, Kalakote. "During the drive, Rajouri Police challaned 48 vehicles under various sections of MV Act which includes triple riding, driving without helmet, over loading, use of music system etc, police said. Police said, "Police also have seized seven vehicles and eight music systems along with speakers from the vehicles violating the traffic norms. The general public appreciated the role of Police for taking such steps and maintaining the proper traffic management. Pertinent to mention here that Rajouri Police has also conducted various seminars, symposium as well as distributed pamphlets in various colleges/Schools to make aware the general to obey the traffic rules. |
