jammu, Aug 3: Former Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader, Narinder Singh has strongly criticized the Bhartiya Janta Party over their stand on AIIMS issue. "The cheap tactics and propaganda of local BJP ministers and their state high Command have miserably failed to impress upon the people of Jammu to withdraw the ongoing agitation, being spearheaded by AIIMS Coordination Committee for just cause of Jammu people", he said. He further said that frustrated by the intensity of strike, the local MLAs of BJP along with their honchos and police force were moving around Jammu forcing the shopkeepers to open their shops to appease their masters in Delhi, who were in a state of political paralysis, having failed to feel the pulse of people, who have thrown their might behind the AIIMS Coordination Committee. "We condemn the reprehensible attitude of these BJP leaders, who by their acts betrayed the faith of Jammu people, who gave them 25 seats from this region, for espousing their right and aspirations. Unfortunately in less than six months, these champions of Jammu have shown their true face and their acts have proved that they are more interested in their new found comforts of power which they have not been able to digest", he said. He further said that once again today these self professed leaders and their likes, MLA Jammu East Rajesh Gupta, de-facto MOS Yudhvir Sethi, Satpal Sharma and others together with their cohorts were trying to force the business community in their respective areas to raise the shutters of their establishments but to their dismay, they simply refused to oblige these champions of Jammu and expressed their solidarity with AIIMS CC. While concluding, Narender Singh said that in view of these mischevious mentality of these leaders, including Health and Medical Education Minister Lal Singh, it was appealed before people of Jammu to raise to the occasion and see through the misleading propaganda ofthese power hungry people and remember the words of eminent religious leaders Swami Vivekananda who had said, "Arise, Awake and stop not till the goal is achieved". |
