They said that the syllabus for these posts have already been notified vide Notice No.SSB/Sel/Secy/2014/722, Dated 25.01.2014 by JKSSB and distribution of marks in the subjects for the post of Statistical Assistant and Junior Statistical Assistant published vide JKSSB office Notice No SSB/Sel/Secy/2014/2784-99 Dated 25-04-2014, added that the candidates having subject of Computer Application and Information Technology have resented against the marks distributed subject wise in the syllabus of Statistical Assistant and Junior Statistical Assistant.
"In subject Computer Science & Information Technology only 10 marks are allotted but in case of other subjects the allocation of marks is different and higher then these two subjects. As the eligibility for the said posts are same i.e Masters degree for Statistical Assistant and bachelor degree for Junior Statistical Assistant then why there is partiality in the distribution of marks with the candidates having subject computer science and Information Technology" said Om Prakash.
He said that as the subjects of Economics, Commerce and Statistics are inter-related with each other but there is no interconnection of subject computer science and information technology with these subjects.
"The qualification for Statistical Assistant post is Masters degree with Economics/ Statistics/ Mathematics/ Commerce/ Computer applications & Information Technology and Junior Statistical Assistant post is Bachelors degree with Economics/ Statistics/ Mathematics/ Commerce/ Computer applications & Information Technology as one of the subject. The total subjects for these posts are 6 and marks distributed to these subjects vide your office notice No SSB/Sel/Secy/2014/2784-99 Dated: 25-04-2014 is 120 marks which is not equally distributed and is injustice with the candidates having subject computer science and information Technology" said Ashish Kumar and urged upon Secretary JKSSB to distribute the marks equally among the six subjects i.e 20 marks to each subject (20x6=120).
All the job aspirants urged upon Chairman and Secretary JKSSB to kindly take necessary action in this regard so that the candidates having subjects Computer Science and Information Technology may not suffer any more and the concerned subject candidates cannot face the problems in future as well.
