RSS rank and file disappointed with Ruling BJP
8/31/2015 12:29:34 AM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 30: Within six month of coming to power in Jammu and Kashmir, the ruling Bhartiya Janta Party has not badly disappointed its fountainhead Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh but also infected this most powerful cadre based organization in the world with groupism.
Both cadre and top functionaries of RSS are learnt to be feeling dejected over the performance of BJP ministers in coalition Government. While the performance of all the BJP ministers is disappointing, the RSS is particularly feeling let down by the Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh, who was installed on the top position on Sangh Parivar's direction, sources said.
According to the sources, the RSS has been receiving complaints that performance of the BJP ministers was not satisfactory and the party cadre was being ignored in every respect. While the middlemen and sycophants are calling the shots, the sincere and old party workers are being avoided by the BJP ministers, admitted a senior RSS functionary on the condition of anonymity.
The recent nomination of some blue eyed persons as members of Government bodies from BJP quota despite their controversial background has also been taken seriously by the RSS top brass, which is learnt to have conveyed its concern to the party also.
However, the more concerning ill effect of BJP in power is that the plague of factionalism has also started gripping RSS organization, which has always remained above the petty interests and groupism. For the first time in history, there is clear division among the RSS leaders from J&K, who are divided between two groups. While the one group with ABVP background is considered close to the BJP ministers, the other group of Sangh veterans is feeling suffocated in the present establishment, sources explained.
The more ironic is the fact that a few senior RSS functionaries hare now feeling sidelined by the other group as they are not being invited to the important events where central leaders of Sangh Parivar are scheduled to be present. This practice is being followed after a few RSS leaders openly criticized functioning of the BJP as well as Sangh Parivar, sources said.
According to the sources, the top RSS brass is well aware of the prevailing situation in J&K but a wait and watch policy is being adopted instead of a knee jerk reaction for the reason that BJP apparently has no face who can replace Dr Nirmal Singh and handle the mess.
