JAMMU, Aug 31 : Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), Jammu Centre, held a condolence meeting to pay tributes to Prof. K M Shrivastava, Senior Professor in IIMC(New Delhi) here today.
The meeting was attended, besides students/ staff members by senior journalist Rahul Jalali, President Press Club of India, Ashwani Kumar, (President, Press Club of Jammu), Defence PRO Col. Mehta, Pradeep Dutta, bureau chief, Times Now (Jammu).
Rahul Jalali highlighted his immense contribution to the media and dedication towards journalism, whom he was associated with since 1978. Ashwani Kumar, Pradeep Dutta and Col. Mehta also spoke in the meeting and shared their interaction with Prof. Shrivastava during his visits to Jammu and also in Delhi. They all spoke very highly about his calibre and contribution to the media fraternity. In a special message, read out by Manohar Khajuria, (Special Officer IIMC Jammu), Suneet Tandon, Director General, IIMC, Delhi described Prof. Srivastava as a pivotal player in creating and nurturing the new regional centres of Jammu, Aizwal, Amrawati and Kottayam. Prof. was an indefatigable teacher who leaves a deep and irreplaceable void at IIMC.
