Jammu, Aug 31: While reviewing the One Rank One Pension (OROP) fast on to death dharna at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi and the response of the Govt, J&K Ex-Services League has decided to lodge protest with candle lights throughout the State during the month of September.
As per press release, member of league said the month of September is being observed as Ex-Servicemen Month and march will start from Brig Rajinder Singh Chowk behind Secretariat Jammu at 7 PM on 1st Sep. Similar protests will be held at Gen Zorawar Chowk Bahu Plaza on 2 Sep at 7 PM, at Kunjwani Chowk on 3 Sep at 7 PM and Sainik Colony main Office on 4 Sep at 7 PM and Main Rally at Samba on Saturday 12 Sep 2015 at 1100 Hrs. Maj Gen Goverdhan Singh Jamwal, President of the League requested them to hold Candle Light protests in each village / town / city at 7 PM daily from 1st Sep 2015 for one month. |
