Says, her father is well, would return to Kmr today
Mehbooba getting ready for 'bigger role'

Early Times Report
srinagar, Aug 31: The PDP president Mehbooba Mufti on Monday put the speculations to rest that Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is not well and he is planning to pass the baton to her.
Talking to the reporters at a sidelines of a function at Baramulla in north Kashmir, Mehbooba said, "All is well with the grace of Allah and Mufti sahab will be returning home from Delhi tomorrow."
Mehbooba said that the Chief Minister had gone from Delhi to Mumbai to Bangalore to meet his son. "Today he came back to Delhi and will return to Valley tomorrow," she said, adding that her father was all well. "If people will speculate, what can I do," she said.
However, sources told Early Times that Chief Minister has dropped enough hints about his plans to handover the baton of the state and the party to his daughter Mehbooba Mufti and there is every possibility of him bringing back his close aide Muzaffar Hussain Beigh into the state politics. "Beigh is likely to be given the portfolio of the Finance Minister," sources added.
They claimed Mufti not keeping well is an "open secret" and except Mehbooba no one else can take the charge. "Off late Mehbooba has started taking interests in the administrative affairs and has not issued a single statement which could be termed as vague," sources added.
Mehbooba on Monday tactfully snubbed the separatists for poking their nose into India-Pakistan affairs. "My party believes everyone should have right to talk in a democratic set up but one should not expect to be called for a meeting when the two countries are talking about terrorism and border tensions," she said.
"When India and Pakistan are talking about terrorism or border tensions, I don't think it is necessary that they (separatists) be involved. It is also true for us (PDP)," she said, adding when the two nations talk of political resolution, "consulting all political voices in Kashmir including separatists makes sense."
Sources said that Mufti would remain in the chair till he can manage but all the decisions would be taken in consultation with Mehbooba as it would provide her with a chance to get acclimatized. " For time being Mehbooba wants her father to carry on with her assistance as she believes that her father's experience could prove to be guiding force for her and the PDP and him (Mufti) being in chair would help to keep the coalition intact," sources added.
