Jan assails Govt for pushing development into back- burner
9/1/2015 12:24:22 AM
Jammu, August 31 -Provincial Youth National Conference President Ajaz Jan today assailed PDP-BJP Coalition Government for pushing development into back burner and ignoring maintenance of utility services as a consequence of which people continue to suffer.
As per press statement, Jan, while addressing youth workers at Sher –I-Kashmir Bhawan Jammu said the problems of the people have accumulated during the past six months and the insensitive government is just playing politics instead of solving these.
“The government must not test the patience of people,” he said, adding that the first six months of the present dispensation have been disappointing. He accused the coalition of dividing people on regional and religious basis and made a resolve that National Conference will foil these machinations with full might. He urged the people to foil the divisive tactics of the government by maintaining utility.
Referring to erratic power supply, the Youth NC Provincial President said that the consumers are charged heavily though the supply remains frequently disrupted. He cited the example of Poonch and Rajouri where consumers are fleeced by serving several bills in a single household. “Despite repeated pleas, the billing has not been rationalised,” he added.
He expressed anguish over insufficient arrangements made during the Budha Amarnath Yatra, as a result of which the pilgrims faced lot of inconvenience. He, however, appreciated the management committee of Budha Amarnath Poonch for regulatory the yatra and said these pilgrimages are symbol of the pluralistic ethos of J&K.
