College students protest over shortage of lecturer at Doda

Doda, Sept 1: Students of Government Degree College Doda today criticized the administration of Higher Education Department for stepmotherly treatment to GDC Doda. The college is working with a mere staff of 7 professors.
Moreover, it is to bring in notice that majority of contractual staff members were running the college. But they have not been given joining order even after counseling which was held twice. Students are suffering badly as the exams of first semester are in November. It is also worth mentioning here that in subjects like Botany, Maths, Persian, Education, Urdu, History, Computer application, no lecture has been appointed yet. It is pertinent to be here that student and their parents have had several protests but except assurances nothing has been done to fill the post.
Students recently met with DDC Doda and lodged their demands. Students informed DDC DODA that they could not even get admission in the college due to shortage of staff. DDC Doda assured students that their demand would b fulfilled soon.
