Residents of Kalibari stage protest against Tehsildar

Kathua, Sept.2: Residents of Kalibari today staged protest demonstration against Tehsildar for illegal dismantling of private land.
Anita Sharma, owner of Khasra no. 28/4 situated at Kalibari who has owned 2 Kannal and 2 marla land besides shops, alleged on Tehsildar Kathua for taking illegal action against her property and dismantling the temporary structure.
She apprised that she had owned plot duly registered with Revenue department since 1997 but her beighbour Puneet Sharma KAS officer who is on high position in JK Secretariat forcibly wanted to grab her property. She alleged on Puneet Sharma for passing phony direction to revenue officers at Kathua.
Anita alleged that Tehsildar Kathua who came in the support of KAS officer to use abusive language, threat for dare consequences besides attacked on women present with manpower.
She demanded severe inquiry of both the land and sought justice besides strict action against allegedly corrupt Tehsildar Avtaar Singh Jasrotia.
District President of BSP Som Raj Majotra condemned the disgraceful incident occurred by Tehsildar against innocent landlords especially women.
He said Jasrotia used to perform similar acts with the support of property dealers and pressed down poor/ illiterate people in Tehsil Kathua. He said Government lands have been openly converting into private in revenue records and openly shifting in the name of officials' relatives.
The protesters demands from government to lodge FIR against Tehsildhar Kathua, his transfer and proper inquiry in the revenue record of both the disputed land.
