BSP alleges Tehsildar for harassing people

kathua, Sept 4: Bhahujan Samajwadi, BSP party today came on road against allegedly tainted revenue officer Tehsildar Kathua Avtaar Singh Jasrotia and openly pointed out his working.
Som Raj Sr. BSP leader today showed evidence about the involvement of Tehsildhar in altering revenue records for personal benefits wherein weaker section are openly harassed.
He highlighted the case of Nek Ram hailing from Badala village for disputed land, Judiciary directed Tehsildhar for marking the land but he delayed the process and allowed rival party to suppress besides divert the case.
He presented another case where Bhushan Kumar who lives in Ward no 12 Kathua could not approach for PRC as Tehsildhar Kathua drop out his name from mainstream and declared the deceased as West Pakistani Refugee even his ancestors had PRCs duly attested by then revenue officials. Ironically, Bhushan enclosed voters' lists of his ancestors since 1951 to 2008. Majotra alleged on Tehsildar to deliberately raised obstacles and harassed the applicant for sweetener. BSP appealed DDC Kathua especially to Revenue minister to review the working of Tehsil office Kathua and set up an inquiry committee to draw out alteration in Revenue records.
When contacted to Avtaar Singh Tehsildar Kathua, he discarded all allegations and said Revenue department functions without any discrimination of caste or creed and under politically pressure. He said if people have some objections about preparation of PRCs of some outsiders, they can lodge their complaints in Commission constituted by state government.
