Jammu, Oct 4: The ongoing hunger-strike of Ex Central Paramilitary Forces Welfare Association, on Monday entered 24th day.
Association is consisting of 15 lacs retired paramilitary personnel including veer naris and 75 lacs dependents from BSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, CPSF and Assam Rifles. "We have protested and approached to Home Minister, Minister for PMO and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but our woes are not being addressed", Darshan said, adding that after retirement they have been treated as use and throw.
"Many of us laid down their lives for the noble cause leaving behind old parents, young spouses and a lot many orphan children for none to see, non to listen and non to heal, they are living a worst and miserable life bad than beggars", he said.
He also said the strike is being held in the state of Himachal Pradesh, J&K and Pubjab with other states of Country. Demanding revision of Pre and Post 2006 retirees, Widow Pension, Martyr status, Ex-servicemen status. ECHS facility, CSD facilities, Reserve quota for wards for Technical and Medical Institutions, Paramilitary Service Pay, Grade Pay and allotment of accomodation and employment for widow to be mitigated", he said. |
