Legislative Council Chairman, Haji Anayat Ali tried his best to convince the members of NC and Congress to sit down and allow the Question Hour to be carried on. However, he failed in this regard with the opposition members continuing to raise slogans against the Government while demanding immediate suspension of the Question Hour.
Some of the Congress and NC members could be seen wearing protest banners with the rest carrying the banners as well as placards in their hands. The opposition members could be seen raising slogans like 'BJP, PDP Sarkar Hai Hai' and tried their every bit to disrupt the Question Hour and they were successful in this regard.
While the Congress and NC members were carrying out protest on the floor of the house, the council chairman ensured that some questions are taken up with their answers being given by the concerned ministers. However, he could not continue for more time and as such had to adjourn the house for 10 minutes in the first instance.
When the House met after the adjournment the NC and Congress members continued with their protest and wanted immediate discussion on the issues raised by them. Some of the opposition members reached the Well of the House and raised their point in front of the chairman. Veeri, Lone and Dar stood on the chair in front of the chairman and raised strong protest. The continuous protest forced the chairman to adjourn the House for the second time for 15 minutes.
As the House met for the third time just five minutes were left for the Question Hour to be over. The Council chairman asked some of the members to ask questions and the same were answered by some ministers. As soon as the Question Hour was over Minister for Agriculture Production Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura stood up and laid some papers on behalf of the Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. Following this the House was adjourned for the day.
