MBS, GDC Samba, SPMR advance in football | Annual inter-college competitions of JU | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 6 : Mahant Bachiter Singh (MBS) College, Government Degree College (GDC) Samba and Government SPMR College of Commerce won their respective matches to move into the next round of the ongoing inter-college football tournament, organised by Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, on the campus ground, here today. In the first match of the day, MBS defeated Acharya Shri Chandra College of Medical Sciences (ASCOMS) 3-2. Tanveer (11th), Vivasvan (29th) and Jastin Pal (33rd) were the scorers from winning team while Varun and Usman scored in 16th and 35th minute respectively. To move into the next round of the competition, GDC Samba outplayed Bhargava Degree College 2-1. Usman (25th) and Anish (49th) scored for the winning Samba team while Riaz Ahmed netted the lone goal from Bhargava College. In another match of the day, Government SPMR College of Commerce blanked GDC Poonch 7-0. Ajay Sandeep (10th), Wawarjeet (15th), Navjot (26th), Ajay (35th), Varinder (47th and 56th) and Amit (62nd) were the scorers. Today's matches conducted by the penal of officials including Suresh Gupta, Gagan Kumar and Taranpal Singh. VOLLEYBALL: Government Degree College (GDC) Ramnagar outplayed Government Women College (GWC) dhampur in straight sets of 25-18, 25-13 to enter the next round of the inter-college women's volleyball tournament underway at JU courts, here. Other scheduled matches of the day ended in walkovers. Today's competition officiated by the technical penal including Mulkh Raj, Mammohan Sharma, Manu Singh and Pushap Thakur under the supervision of event incharge and volleyball coach of JU, Vikas Karlopia. |
