Mendhar, Oct6: Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Poonch has appointed blue eyed candidate at the post of Adult Counsellor at Sub District Hospital Mendhar without advertise selection list.
Reports said that recently, health department had advertised two posts of Adult Counsellor under National Rural Health Mission. At least six candidates were shortlisted for interview but without releasing the selection list, the CMO appointed two blue eyed candidate. Aspirants pleading anonymity alleged that CMO Dr. Mumtaz Bhatti and Deputy Commissioner take graft for such appointment. They further said that both officers dropped deserving candidates. "if everything as alright why was the select list withheld," they questioned.
"In an hush hush manner, CMO called both appointees and asked them to join without any delay", they alleged.
The CMO said, "I didn't need your permission to make a merit list. If anyone has any doubts, he is free to file a RTI."
Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Nasir Ahmed Wani assured that he will initiate an inquiry regarding the appointments of such posts. |
