Sunderbani, Oct 6: Continuing with his conduct to demean his profession riding the influence of his alleged proximity with the bureaucrats and the ministers even, the master-grade headmaster of middle School Nohoti of Lower Hathal in Rajouri district, Isher Dass is earning a bad reputation.
Earlier also, the Early Times has reported about his misconduct in the school over the mid-day meal in connivance with one of his subordinate teacher, where he has been allegedly found to be siphoning off huge amounts from the scheme while offering lower standard meals to his pupil, the new allegations on him about putting his students to bonded labour has come as a shocker. "The master grade headmaster, instead of using his man force to impart education to the students is allegedly using them in performing hard tasks like ferrying water from far-off rivulets to fill the school tank," said one of the school officials of the lower rung wishing not to be named.
He also disclosed that often Isher Dass is seen ordering the students to cleanse the filthy toilets of the school while the children fearing his wrath chose the work to avoid harsh treatment.
Already is mentioned that Isher Dass had emphatically snubbed the Early Times reporter on the query of mid-day meal, this time round on a question as to how he is putting the children to filthy tasks of cleaning toilets and ferrying water, the master-grade headmaster offered the reporter for a clandestine meet at his school.
"You come to the school and will sit over and sort out the issue," was Isher Dass' perplexing answer to the reporter. When contacted, the Director Education Smita Sethi assured a stern action against the defaulter, if found guilty.
"I will take up the issue of his misconduct and if found guilty, he will be put to hard punishment," said Smita Sethi while talking to early times.
The newspaper had reported on Oct 4 that the mid-day meal scheme in Sunderbani had come under scanner as the high headed school authorities deny schedule menu to the children and instead cook food of their choice only.
This instance came to light when a cook Kali Dass of Middle School Nahoti reached media with an urgent complaint on the issue which he said was not being addressed at proper forum due to his superiors' alleged connections with the high-ups in the department and the ministry.
When contacted, Isher Dass on first instance had tried to shy away from the answer, but on repeated calls he even went on to the extent of threatening the Early times reporter saying, " I damn care for any ZEO or CEO. I have the commissioner secretary links and even have a clout in the ministry. Nobody can dare threat me and even you are a small fry to challenge my stature".
