SHAME:DyCM, Ministers of "nationalist" BJP miss wreath laying ceremony of martyr soldiers
10/8/2015 12:28:17 AM
Early Times Report
jammu, Oct 7: Ministers of "nationalist" BJP have shamelessly given a miss to the wreath laying ceremony organised by Defence authorities for four soldiers of the Army who attained martyrdom while fighting with Pakistan sponsored terrorists in Handwara area of North Kashmir. Defence authorities had organised wreath laying function at Srinagar with a hope that Ministers of the "nationalist" BJP would turn up for the function to encourage the soldiers who are valiantly fighting with terrorists who have been getting all support from inner and outer forces.
When wreath laying function was going on in Kashmir, all the BJP Ministers including Deputy Chief Minister were very much present at Srinagar. Not only Ministers even all MLAs and MLCs of the "nationalist" BJP were also very much present at Srinagar but they are more concerned about enjoying power instead of encouraging the forces who are fighting terrorism in Kashmir.
Credible sources said that Deputy Chief Minister and other BJP Ministers were very much aware that the defence authorities were going to pay tributes to the martyrs but they did not spare even a minute for four sons of Mother India who sacrificed their lives.
Credible sources said that there was strong anger among soldiers against behaviour of BJP Ministers because already they are facing criticism from other Kashmir centric parties without any fault of the forces.
Four soldiers have been killed in a fierce gunbattle with terrorists in a forest area in Kupwara two days back. One terrorist has been killed in a separate encounter in the district.
The soldiers lost their lives in a gunbattle with the terrorists during an operation launched in Haphruda forest in Handwara following information about presence of terrorists there, an Army spokesperson said.
One terrorist was killed in a separate encounter that broke out during an operation in Lolab area, the spokesperson said. Yesterday, two terrorists of the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) outfit, believed to be Pakistanis, were killed and a soldier was injured in an encounter in Pulwama district. The killed terrorists were identified as Salim alias Adil Pathan and Rehman alias Burmi, police sources had said, adding they were suspected to be Pakistani nationals. Pakistan-based JeM has been responsible for several major attacks in Jammu and Kashmir and Delhi, including the one on Parliament on December 13, 2001.
