Kathua, Oct 8: People's Democratic Party today held one day's convention at party office Kathua where Mehboob Iqbal, State General secretary PDP presided over and reviewed the existing position of party at Kathua. According to press release, proper instructions were given to workers for strengthening the party at ground level and to come with flying colors in forthcoming Urban & Rural bodies' elections. While interacting to media, Iqbal said all workers were called to attend the meeting with the aim to strengthen the party for forthcoming elections. He said Block, Village, Zonal and Booth level committees will be re-constituted wherein opportunity will be given to dedicated workers. Iqbal said opposition parties must play constructive role in JK Assembly than raised unnecessary issues to disturb the assembly's proceedings. He said there are several bills are pending with the government that should be passed but it seems that JK Assembly turns into battle field which is according to him shameful/ condemnation. He refused to comment on Beef row as matter is with the Supreme Court. Surinder Singh District President PDP, ensured good performance of party in coming elections and said PDP will come with flying colors after team work and dedication towards party. Vinod Kumar, Anil Singh Andotra, Anil Kashap, S. Puran Singh, Suraj Parkash , Rakesh Kumar Babbli, Jodh Singh Saini, Nek Mohammed and many other party workers from entire district reached and addressed in the meet. |
