Srinagar, Oct 8: The government of Jammu and Kashmir in reply to AQ. No 456 of Dr. Krishan Lal stated that whether it intended to issue Permanent Residence Certificate (PRCs) to the people having migrated from Chhamb, Deva Batala, Monavar, Kugi Barsala and other villages of the area occupied by the Pakistan during 1965 and 1971 wars, Under Secretary to government Revenue Department on behalf of the incharge minister revenue stated that some territories of Chhmb sector ceded to Pakistan during Indo-Pak war of 1965 and 1971, due to which the people residing in these areas got internally displaced and as such, the people of these areas are not being denied the right to grant of PRCs under J&K Grant of Permanent Resident Certificate (Procedures) Act, 1963. |
