ASP demands compensation to flood victims of Sept 2014

Jammu, Oct 8: National General Secretary of Ambedkar Samaj Party (ASP) Bilal Ahmad Mir expressed grave concern over the hollow assurances of the Central and State Govt for providing compensation to the flood victims who suffered extensive loss and damage to their properties.
Addressing a press conference today he alleged that it is very unfortunate that meagre amount as first installment of compensation has been released to some victims while as most of the flood victims have been ignored and deprived of their due compensation. While raising a number of demands he said that all the roads in Jammu region have been either washed away or damaged which are not worth plying the vehicles smoothly and urged upon the Government to take immediate steps on a war footing for repair of roads. He also raised the demands of 30,000 daily wagers of PHE Department of J&K State who are on dharna since last one month and appealed the Govt.to redress their grievances.
