Nitesh Sangral Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 2: Panchayat Halqa representatives of village Lamberi east have alleged that a personal assistant of incumbent Minister in coalition Government has been making threatening calls for filing case against him for fraudulent withdrawal of Rs. 2 Lakh in lieu of construction of road, during his posting as Block Development Officer (BDO) Nowshera. The Minister's PA, then BDO Rajeev Khajuria, has reportedly been intimidating the Panchayat head and other representatives to take back the complaint, or face consequences, the villagers have alleged. A delegation of village Lamberi East, Narinder Parkash, Joginder Sharma, President of Durga Temple Committee, Trilok Chand and others informed Early Times that in 2011-12, work of 'kacha' road from Dandani link road to Bhagwati temple Dandani of ward number 7 of Panchayat Halqa Lamberi East done by the contribution of locals along with Durga Mandir Committee. As soon as the road work was completed, then BDO Rajeev Khajuria and his staff members visited the area for measurement of the road and assured locals that black-topping would be started soon but after a year, it come to fore that the funds had been drawn from Government exchequer. They further stated that through reply of RTI application, they came to know that Rs 2 lakh had been drawn from Government exchequer for work of said road from house of Subash Chander to Mohalla Paras Ram ward no 7 completed is less than 500 meters but on ground nothing has been done. All these misdeeds are done with the help of allegedly a local contractor Neeraj Sharma and his sister Neetu Bala who is working in DC office Rajouri and uses her link to sweep the matter under carpet.
