Jammu, Nov 2: Monitoring system of the Jammu University seems to be in doldrums, with resolutions of the campus deans thrown into the dustbin.
As per the documents in possession of Early Times, a resolution was arrived in the meeting of campus deans on August 14 wherein it was unanimously decided that additional charge of only one position may be assigned to an individual in the university as full involvement is required for one post as a matter of policy.
Sources said the decision of the campus deans has not been implemented by the university administration in letter and spirit even after two months. Rather, the university has violated its own decision of one-man, one-position policy.
There are still a number of professors who continue to hold more than one position in the university with Prof. Rajnikant holding the position of Director Ramnagar Campus, Director Human Resources Development Centre, Chief Coordinator all campuses; Prof. Jasbir Singh enjoys the position of Provost Boys Hostels, Chairman N.S.S., Head Phonetics Lab in GZS Auditorium; Prof. Anil K.Raina, Director Udhampur Campus, HoD E.V.S; J.K. Sharma, Director Colleges Development Council, Incharge Legal Cell of the University, Vigilance Officer in Jammu University; Prof. D.S. Bhau, Director Physical Education, Director Yoga etc.
"These are some of the glaring examples of flagrant violation of its own decisions with no next higher authority beyond authority of Jammu University to take cognizance of these lapses," said sources.
"There seems to be no set system of close monitoring of various decisions being taken in high level meeting of officers like campus deans," they added.
