Early Times Report Bhadarwah, Nov. 24: The Rashtriya Rifles located at Bhaderwah under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Delta) culminated "'Sewing, Knitting, Stitching,Tailoring & Embroidery Training for women" conducted at Chinta under Operation Sadhbhavana for the financial year 2015-16 today. The classes were conducted with effect from 23 October 2015 to 24 November 2015. A total of 30 women from socially and economically Backward strata of society were benefitted and trained on nuances of 'Sewing, Knitting, Stitching, Tailoring & Embroidering by M D Manjur and Brij Bhushan with an aim to enable them to stand on their own feet and become financially independent and self-employed. The Commanding Officer, Rashtriya Rifles and Om Prakash Kotwal, Sarpanch, Jalga Panchayat jointly participated in the valedictory function in presence of Sushil Bhagat, Sarpanch Dugga, Ajit Kumar Sharma, Sarpanch Chinthora, Abdul Latif Mir, Postmaster, Bhoru, residents of nearby villages of Chinta and a number of ex-servicemen. On this occasion, Ladies were also presented with Sewing Machine by the Commanding Officer Rashtriya Rifles. Participation certificates were also distributed to all the ladies having undergone the training classes. Sunita Devi W/o Late Surender Singh, one of the trainee expressed her profound gratitude to the Army for assisting her to pick up a new profession which will enable her to earn livelihood and stand on her own feet enhancing her confidence and self-esteem. |
