| Prevent BJP from committing suicide: Hari Om | | | To

Dear Amit Ji,
This response has become necessary not because of your decision to expel me from Bharatiya Janta Party but because of the serious situation which is developing in the state involving critical issues of national security and social resistance against separatism and the ongoing Jihadi war in the state.
I have come to know through press that my explanations have been found as unsatisfactory and that I have been found consistently indulging in anti-Party activities.
In your leadership there was a huge expectation that BJP will become more transparent and more democratic in its political and organizational behavior. I will not hesitate to say that before issuing the show cause notice to me and even after issuing it but before deciding to expel me the party would have in written or in person tried to explain to me the areas of its dissatisfaction with me and also the nature of activities which it believes I have been indulging in as anti-party.
It is obvious the party prefers a culture of total conformity and hegemony from above, particularly those who control the levers of power. However, I still request you to go into details of reasoning of your party about what is it that it considered anti party and unsatisfactory. I am sure you will realize that everything which is in perfect sync with the creed and culture of the party is now being qualified as anti party and an affront. This mutation of the party has taken place certainly during your tenure as the party President.
Ponder for a movement the implications of a profound development which took place not long after you became the President of the Party. I am talking about the decision of the party to create a committee to draft the manifesto for the assembly elections. I was the chairman of the committee. The committee after due discussions and in the truest spirit of democratic tradition drafted the election manifesto which was endorsed by all. The manifesto was then printed in the form of booklets which were to be circulated amongst the public. And then all of a sudden we came to know that the party has decided not to release it after having endorsed it. Instead a 'vision document' was released. This approach of bypassing, ignoring and superseding the duly constituted organizational structures for devising party line, approach and activity has serious implications particularly in Jammu and Kashmir. The approach is basically a Congress like approach where a small clique takes all decisions and the party organization is just a rubber stamp. You will certainly be asked as to why you as the party President chose to transform the party into a carbon copy of Congress. Many instances like this can be cited but I want to skip that at this juncture.
To me what is more important is that in a state like Jammu and Kashmir the party organization and the grass root sentiments are dismissed as irritants and cause of dissatisfaction. This has a bearing on the social resistance against the over ground and underground separatist campaigns in the state. The organizational cadres and the grass root support which BJP has in the state, particularly in the province of Jammu, have never approved of the Party decision to align with PDP and form a government on the basis of a document named as Agenda of Alliance. Both the BJP cadres as well as its grass root supporters consider PDP as an over ground political support structure for separatism in the state. They also consider Agenda of Alliance as a document which betrays everything for which they supported the party. The BJP-PDP alliance has a critical adverse bearing for the anti-national campaign going on in the state.
You have chosen to ignore this development. So you have strengthened the avalanche of doubt building in Jammu about the nationalistic role of BJP in the state.
Time is fast running out for the party to correct this public impression otherwise the leadership you have foisted on the party in the state as well as its MLAs and MLCs will become the most hated symbols in the public domain not to speak of the small clique of persons who do not belong to Jammu and Kashmir which you have appointed as the mind and eyes of the party.
I once again as the well wisher of the party like to reiterate that after getting a massive mandate BJP leadership has missed to understand its underlying message. The message was the unflinching resolve and determination of the people of Jammu to defeat the forces of terrorism and separatism and correct the state of institutionalized discrimination against Jammu province and Ladakh and particularly against the Hindu , Sikh and Buddhist minorities in the state. BJP has chosen not even once to consider the advantages of sitting in the opposition in case it was unable to make an alliance to form the government in the state without having to agree to an agenda of subversion and subjugation which is underlined in Agenda of alliance.
Under your leadership party has chosen as a matter of policy to ignore the emergence of IS, Al-Qaeda, LeT etc as not only as driving forces of terrorism but also of the over ground politics in whole of Kashmir and parts of Jammu province. It chose to describe IS, Pro-Pak , Al-Qaeda propaganda as mere publicity gimmicks. The BJP government is now eating a humble pie after realizing the widening influence of such dangerous entities. The blinkers which have been put on the BJP with regard to Jammu and Kashmir will not only jeopardize the security in the state but will have a national and international fall out for which whole world will surely blame BJP.
Please take a serious note of what the CM Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Mehbooba Mufti have been saying since months. They have chosen to tell the whole world not only the people of India that they have formed an alliance with BJP to get a resolution of the issue of Jammu and Kashmir and reconciliation with Pakistan and its separatist flanks in Jammu and Kashmir. And they quote the Agenda of Alliance to push forward in this direction. Isn't it a irony that the BJP-PDP Government together constitute a two third majority in the State Assembly and the CM of the government talks about political instability in the state? Isn't it a grave threat and a brazen warning to Indian State when Mehbooba Mufti says that India has to learn a lesson from the developments in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria in the wake of Paris terror attack?
I have consistently warned the party not to forsake the persecuted and hounded out Hindus of Kashmir, persecuted and ignored refugees from POJK and Pakistan and not to use them as cannon fodder or guinea pigs to strike deals with the communal and separatist forces in Kashmir. I have warned the party not to abandon people of Jammu province and Ladakh merely for the sake of a secular certificate. Party has chosen to consider this thinking as anti-party. With a heavy heart I once again as the well wisher of BJP tell you that the party has chosen to be on a course of suicide. In fact, it has chosen to negate its history and legacy. I make a fervent appeal to you to arrest this drift before it is too late.
