Jammu, Nov 25 : Natrang today presented Dogri Play Bawa Jitto for the entertainment of audience having come to see the Jhiri Mela. The audience present there relished the presentation of Natrang in which supreme sacrifice of the folk hero of the farmers kept the audience enjoying during the show. The staging of Bawa Jitto was supported by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and the Bawa Jitmal Shrine Mela Committee, Jammu. Speaking on the occasion, Balwant Thakur said that this is a life time opportunity to display Dogra culture before a mammoth gathering who have come to have darshan of Bawa Jitto saying that Natrang had fitted the stage set with latest sound and light system to magnify the outreach of the performance. Set in the rural backdrop story of 'Bawa Jitto' portrays the age-old saga of exploitation of landless farmers by landlords The lead role of Bawa Jitto was played by the senior actor Neeraj Kant whereas the role of Bua Gauri was played by young artist Sanchita Dubey. Other senior profile artists of the state who mesmerized the audiences included Suresh Kumar, Vijay Bhatt, Subash Jamwal, Juhi Singh, Aishwarya Sathe, Mohit Sharma, Rahul Singh, Pawan Verma, Mohd. Yaseen, Ankush Lakhnotra, Rajan Thakyal, Pankaj Verma, Masood Qadir, Shivam Singh, Pallavi Mathur, Meenakshi, Vandana, Geet-anjali, Rohit Kumar, Sumit Sharma, Kuldeep Angral, Vishal Sharma, Piyush Anand, Rishabh Sharma and Mahikshit Singh. |
