RAMBAN, Nov 28: On the first leg of its three day inspection programme in the erstwhile Doda District, the Committee on Environment today conducted an on-spot inspection at the Sher-E-Kashmir Memorial Emergency Hospital and the bus stand market here today. The J&K Legislative Assembly empowered Committee was led by its Chairman, MLA, Inderwal, GM Saroori accompanied by four MLAs namely Neelam Langeh, Daleep Singh, Gulzar Ahmed Wani and Mumtaz Ahmed besides the two MLCs, Naresh Gupta and Sham Lal Bhagat, Deputy Director, Health, Dr. Gurjeet Singh, Additional Secretary, Health, Mohd.Ashraf Hakak, Additional Secretary, JKLA, Naseema Jan, Divisional Pollution Control Officer, Ramban, Kuldeep Bhan, Deputy Director, Urban Local Bodies, CMO, Ramban,Dr.Anwar Bhat and BMO,Ramban and Dr.Shakeel Ahmed Sumbria. The Committee members first inspected the hospital thoroughly and enquired every minute details concerning its general sanitation especially the proper garbage disposal and stock of medicines , expiry and potency.The members visited every ward, room, public utilities and OPD rooms and even inspected the medicines and allied utilities kept in the almirahs. The Chairman, Sarooi hoped that the sanitation in the hospital would be maintained regularly so as to ensure cleanliness in and around hospital area. Later, the Committee had a round of the Batote bus stand and the market where on finding the road (NH44) side drains choked with plastics and garbage ordered for the suspension of the Executive Officer, Municipal Committee, Batote, Mohd. Ashraf Zargar for his failure to get the sanitation maintained in the bazar. |
