Bid to mislead Governor on JU affairs
12/1/2015 12:27:16 AM

Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 30: A section of officers in Raj Bhawan are allegedly trying to mislead Governor N N Vohra with regard to Jammu University affairs for their personal reasons.
According to the sources, a handful of junior officers, working in the Raj Bhawan for quite some time, have allegedly developed vested interests vis-a-vis Jammu University for which they go to the extent of trying to misleading and creating confusions. This was evident during recently held Academic Council meeting of Jammu University when these officers tried to influence the Governor for acting on a letter, purported to be written by a female JU employee.
Notwithstanding the fact that unjustified demands of this female employee have already been rejected by University Grants Commission, sources said that a section of officers in Raj Bhawan is allegedly supporting her because of her husband, who is a KAS officer, presently posted in the General Administration Department at the Civil Secretariat.
Because of their proximity with the husband of this JU employee, some junior officers in Raj Bhawan are allegedly trying their best to get the Governor act against taken position of Jammu University on certain issues, sources explained.
Sources also hint that these officers are in touch with a few Professors and officials in Jammu University, who provide them fodder for conspiracies and intrigues, which ultimately damage reputation of this apex institution of higher learning.
Even as these officers are leaving no stone unturned to promote their agenda, sources said that the Governor N N Vohra has made it clear that he would not allow interference by anyone into the affairs of Jammu University, of which he is the Chancellor.
