Rajouri, Nov 30: Shell shocked family members of the accused arrested by Delhi Crime Branch in recently unearthed 'espionage case, are in a state of inconsistency to accept the case and maintain they (accused) can't play with the future of their families.
With tears in eyes aged and withered Fazal Hussain father of BSF Head Constable who was taken into custody by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police for his alleged involvement in espionage racket said, " It's really a shocking incident for my whole family and beyond our imagination.
"My son can't be involved in anti-national activities as he has 3 minor sons and a daughter, he said adding, "he can't spoil their future. My son is serving in BSF and is posted in West Bengal."
Humming similar tones Mussarat Begum wife of Kafaiat Ullah s/o Karamat Ullah, a library assistant in Govt Higher Secondary School Manjakot who was arrested by the Crime Branch of Delhi police on way to Bhopal, today said that this incident has shaken us completely and it would be very difficult for me to make both ends meet for my family of four minor children including two daughters
"My husband, like every year left for Bhopal to attend an annual religious congregation but was intercepted by the police on way to Bhopal for the reasons not known to us. We came to know about his arrest on Friday from his colleague" said Mussarat in her sobs.
She added on Saturday police brought him (her husband) to Manjakot but didn't allow him to come out of the vehicle but only got his bags opened seize some file and left the house along with some documents from the file. "They (the cops) didn't search any other room except his (her husband's), she added .
Claiming a sort of Incorruptibility, she said, "We have already been facing a financial problems and couldn't manage to deposit installments of our house loan while bank authorities have been sending notices in this regard.
Here it needs to mention that on his way to Bhopal the Crime Branch sleuths of Delhi Police apprehended Kafait ul-Lah on way reportedly at Delhi Railway Station on Friday besides recovering some secret / confidential documents related to national security.
He was put to sustain interrogation and he reportedly revealed the name of Abdul Rashid, a Head Constable posted with intelligence wing of BSF at Sector HQs at Rajouri. Crime Branch officers also visited BSF Sector HQs on Saturday and reportedly took the custody of Abdul Rashid.
Reliable sources said that Abdul Rashid was sent to BSF HQs at Jammu for further investigation about his involvement in this espionage network.
Crime Branch reportedly has disclosed that during Kafait Ullah visit to Pakistan to meet his step-brother , Aunty & Uncle he was trapped by the ISI people and in lieu of monetarily consideration he agreed to provide vital information about the movements of defence forces.
Meantime DIG Rajouri-Poonch Police Range , AK Atrie briefly said, "Delhi Crime Branch sleuth has not shared any information with Rajouri police about the arrest of Kafait Ullah & Abdul Rashid and their reported involvement in espionage racket. "However, It's a matter of serious concern that a belt force person is involved in espionage network" he added.
Meantime staff and colleagues of Kafait Hussain at HSS at Manjakot too are in a state of shock and disbelieve after hearing his involvement in the spy network .
"It was shocking for all of us. Kafait was punctual to his duty and was a reserved and religious person." said Principal Arunesh Sharma.
