Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 1: The Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh today said the Government is working towards providing a hassle-free investment environment for industrialists and aspiring entrepreneurs in the State. He said this will go a long way in accelerating the industrial growth in the State and generate much needed job avenues for the local youth. The Deputy Chief Minister was addressing officers during a meeting convened here to discuss the 'Ease of Doing Business in J&K'. Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga, Principal Secretary Power, Dheeraj Gupta, Principal Secretary Forests, R K Gupta, Commissioner Secretary Industries and Commerce, Shailendra Kumar, Development Commissioner Power, Gul Ayaz, Chief Engineer Power and other senior officers were present in the meeting. Deputy Chief Minister said it should be ensured that the requisite permissions are provided to the prospective industrialists within shortest possible time. He said power connections should be given to them within 15 days from the date of submitting the requisite documents needed for the purpose. "Government is committed to accelerate the industrial growth in the State as it would go a long way in boosting the economic activities besides creating fresh job opportunities for the locals," Dr Singh said and added that clear instructions have been given to the concerned departments to act as catalysts in industrial growth by providing necessary support to the prospective entrepreneurs. He called upon concerned departments to synergize their activities to remove the bottlenecks, if any. |
