Parivartan donates tricycle to handicapped person

JAMMU, Dec 1: Continuing their efforts to help the needy and poor people in the society, Parivartan, a Non-Governmental Organization presented a wheelchair to a handicapped person in a function held here today.
Speaking on the occasion, Vinod Verma, a renowned social worker and a businessman, who was the chief guest on the occasion, hailed the organization's voluntary activities in the past few years, hoping that the wheelchair will facilitate the travel of disabled people in the locality. The organization has donated wheelchairs to 20 poor and needy persons during the last month in different areas of Jammu. In the coming time, it will call for further support from donors to deliver more wheelchairs to needy people.
About 50 wheelchairs are expected to be provided to disabled people in entire state during the month of December 2015.
Speaking on the occasion, President, Parivartan, Vikas Sharma said, "These tricycles are provided to these disabled persons, mean that now have the means to travel to and from their daily works safely, so that they can earn their bread and butter without any help in future," he added.
