Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 1: St. Peter's High School, B.C. Road, Jammu celebrated annual day with a two-day mega event which was graced by the presence of venerated guests and epitomized true celebration through multiple themes and exemplary performances that touched hearts of one and all. According to press release, the celebrations in the school premises today commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by chief Guest, K. Vijaya, Chairperson Jammu & Kashmir PWWA, Guest of Honour, Rev. Fr. Domnic Thirunilath OFM CAP, Presiding officer, Poonam Makhnotra, KAS, Principal, Rev. Fr. Thomas Niravathu and Vice Principal Sr. Jenny Augustine. Lighting of the lamp was followed by a devotional prayer dance performed by the students. Primary wing students exhibited their talent through their impressive ballad performances which reflected the true spirit of the theme "Freedom with Responsibility" with which the programme was conceived. Various performances by students threw light on important themes like child labour, significance of girl child, need for parents' involvement in a child's life and coexistence of freedom and responsibility. The ballad culminated with a dazzling fusion dance performance. The afternoon show was glorified with the valued presence of Tsering Angchok IAS who was the Chief Guest of the occasion, Rev. Fr. Jose Vadakkel who was the guest the Honour and the Presiding Officer Anirudh Khajuria KAS. The show was based on the theme "Corruption and Evil" which witnessed impressive performances and plays performed by the students belonging to class ninth and tenth. |
