State judo team leaves for Nationals today

JAMMU, Dec 01: Jammu and Kashmir Judo Association today named the state team for upcoming Senior National Championship to be held at Chandigarh from December three to December five.
As per a handout issued here today, the state team included six men, five women and three officials. The team shall depart for the venue tomorrow. Earlier, the selected probable underwent a screening test conducted by the J&K State Sports Council at Indoor Complex, here today.
Among those present were Sports Officer of State Sports Council, Ravi Singh, Manager Indoor Complex, Satish Gupta, Rashid Choudhary (member Sports Council), Vikas Gupta (general secretary of the Association), Suraj Bhan Singh, Varinder Dogra (coaches), Shiv Kumar, Suraj Sharma and Manish Chatwal.
The Team: Aman Gupta, Junaid Maqbool, Rahil Shafi, Danish Sharma, Ranjodh Singh, Ajmal Maqbool, Ishma Wazir, Poonam Sharma, Shweta Thakur, Shivani Jamwal and Juhi Charak. Vikas Dogra and Ritika Slathia accompanying the team as coaches while Mohd. Mushtaq has been named manager.
