| All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC holds protest, submit memorandum | | |  Early Times Report
Doda, Dec 1: A protest rally was organized at district headquarters today by the members of All India Confederation Of SC/ST/OBC Doda unit.
According to press release, the rally was led by president Amar Nath Bhagat to protest against the recent HC descision regarding reservation to the members of SC,ST,OBC and other reserved categories in promotions. Hunderds of activists of the federation participated in the protest and took out a rally from Dak Bangallow Doda to the office of the deputy commissioner DC Doda and submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister through the deputy commissioner.
Addressing the gathering district president of the federation Bhagat Amar Nath alleged that the state government has failed to protect the constitutional right of reservation in promotions to the down trodden and weaker sections of the society.
He also said that the state government has not implemented the Mandal Commission report for 27% reservation to OBCs . He demanded political reservation in the state legislative for STs and regularization of Safai Karamcharis.
