After rotten Daliya recovery, administration seals three ICDS stores in Mendhar

Poonch, Jan 1: On the direction of District Development Commissioner MH Malik, the district administration sealed three Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) stores in Mendhar today after approximately 75 quintals of 'Daliya' meant for under privileged was found in rotten state at these stores. Meanwhile DDC constituted three Member team headed by ACR/ ADC Poonch, Shafeeq Ahmed to probe the matter and directed to submit their report within in three days.
According to officials, a team from district administration consisting of tehsildar Mendhar, Salam Din, Naib Tehsildar Aftab Hussain escorted by a police party headed by Sunil Kalsi raided the office of CDP in Mendhar and inquired about the stores existing in Mendhar Tehsil.
The officials added the team come to know that there were three ICDS stores in the area at different location and all the three stores were sealed thereof.
"In the first store 106s rice bags were found stored in unhygienic conditions while 37 rice bags, 27 packets of Dalda, 10 kgs of Haldi (turmeric) having expiry date and rat eaten rice bags were found at second store where at third store 76 quintals of rotten daliya was disowned by the CDP Officer Parveen Chowdhary and Nutrition incharge Mushtaq Ahmed," sources added.
"District Development Commissioner (DDC) Poonch also have constituted three Member team headed by ACR/ Add DC Poonch, Shafeeq Ahmed, District Litigation Officer Kamaal Hussain, Dy Director Employment Mohd Ashraf Chowdhary and Naib Tehsildar Mendhar Aftab Hussain will be the members of the team who have to submit their report within in three days, sources said.
Meanwhile Early Times learnt that ICDS Office in Mendhar has no sign board causing inconvenience to people of the area and its seven employees have been put under scanner too had come to fore, sources said.
However all attempts to contact concerned authority DPO Poonch Manzoor Chowdhary to get his comments turned futile as he didn't pick up the phone despite repeated attempts.
