Early Times Report
srinagar, Jan 1: Police and other security agencies have decided to collect the details of all the cases which have been registered against the separatists during all these years.
Sources told Early Times police top brass have directed the ground level officials to collect all the details of the cases that have been registered against the separatists and the action taken report.
"Multiple cases stand registered against the separatists in different police stations across Jammu and Kashmir and most of them are out on bail," said a source.
He said, "Separatists despite taking law into their hands get away easily. In future police and security agencies have decided to prepare water tight cases against the people who have become habitual law breakers."
Sources revealed that separatists won't be allowed to "enjoy impunity" in the future and if they try to instigate people by delivering fiery speeches and by indulging in anti-national rhetoric they would have to face the music. "At present low rung officials are busy collecting the details so that a dossier can be kept ready and it can be produced whenever required," they added.
Insiders said that till date hundreds of police and paramilitary men have been injured in stone pelting and other incidents but no action has been taken against the people who instigate the crowd and orchestrate the street protests. "Besides separatists Police have identified the henchmen who organize these protests and lure unemployed youth," they added.
Sources said that State has devised a mechanism to end the stone pelting culture in Kashmir. "Police have also identified a few conduits through whom money reaches to the separatists. Many Hawala channels have been choked. Other sources through which separatists get funds are being monitored and very soon these channels would be taken care off," they added.
A police official while talking to Early Times said, "We have received directions from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to act tough against any person who poses threat to peace and wants to vitiate the atmosphere."
He said, "If separatists don't mend their ways they would find themselves behind the bars. No political interference would be able to save them."
Sources revealed that Centre is in no mood to give any concessions to the separatists and wants them to fall in the line or face the music. "On one hand they (separatists) preach secessionism while on the other hand they enjoy all the privileges which a mainstream politician gets. Now times have changed they would have to make a choice," sources added.
