jammu, Jan 15: A Jammu University officer, who was on deputation with the then Advisor to former Chief Minister Late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, is being victimized for his good relations with Prof Amitabh Mattoo. Following repatriation of this officer from Personal Section of Amitabh Mattoo, he is being given a step motherly and ill treatment by the administration of his own Jammu University, where he has been serving for the last several years.
On the direction of Vice-Chancellor Prof R D Sharma, the JU administration refused to post him on his earlier position of PRO and shifted him to non-existent post under an officer, who is well known for his enmity with Prof Mattoo. Further, the office has not been provided even an office in the capacity of his new position, sources said.
According to the sources, the said officer is being punished only for his closeness with Prof Amitabh Mattoo, under whose tenure as the then Vice-Chancellor, he was appointed in the university.
Earlier also, ever since the appointment of Prof Mattoo as Advisor to then CM with a Cabinet rank, Vice-Chancellor Prof R D Sharma had been creating an impression of dislike for him notwithstanding the former's best possible efforts to help Jammu University touching new heights.
At the time when services of this officer were to be taken in the Personal Section of Prof Amitabh Mattoo, Jammu University kept delaying the issuance of order for the deputation for no reasons. And moreover, when the order was issued after 46 days, the deputation was approved only for three months.
Some top officers in the Jammu University, who were once blue eyed boys of Prof Mattoo during his tenure as then Vice-Chancellor of JU but had later on backstabbed him, are allegedly behind the attempts to harass the officer while incompetence of Prof R D Sharma is helping such elements, sources explained. |
