St Peter's School conducts dental health camp | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 5 : St. Peter's School, BC Road, under the aegis of St. Joseph's Community Hospital, Smailpur conducted a dental awareness and screening camp for all its students in the school premises. According to press release, under this camp, the administration have provided ample opportunities to students to interact with the dental surgeons to enquire and gain knowledge concerning oral diseases. A team comprising of 20 dentists and para-medics from Department Public Health Dentistry of Indira Gandhi Government Dental College led the camp in which 1350 students from Pre-Primary to High School went through comprehensive screening and check up at the campus. The doctors screened each and every student of the school and prescribed remedial treatment for those who had any dental concerns. They also spoke of common dental ailments, especially stressing on tooth decay and gum diseases and measures to prevent from them. Fr. Thomas Niravathu, Principal highlighted the importance of regular dental check up and advised students to brush twice daily to maintain good teeth as well as mouth odor. |
