Early Times Report Katra, Feb 6: The holy town of Katra, where lakhs of pilgrims from different parts of the country and abroad visit every month for their onward journey to the holy cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi, is alleged to be devoid of drinking water facility. Divisional Engineer, Reasi, Ashok Sharma said he was unaware of the fact that there was no drinking water facility at Bus Stand, Katra. He assured that this facility would be made available within the shortest possible time for the pilgrims and other people. Additional District Development Commissioner, Reasi, Shiv Kumar Gupta said it was good that the matter had been brought to his notice, assuring to do the needful within weeks. People have warned to stage protests in case the drinking water facility was not available in the Katra town at the earliest. |
