437 kanals of state Land from encroachers retrieved

Reasi, Feb 6: Continuing efforts against illegal encroachments in the district on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Reasi Sushma Chauhan (IAS), the Tehsildar Thakrakote Rajesh Baru has tightened noose upon encroachers and has retrieved 437 Kanals of Kahcharai and common land from encroachers. According to official, Deputy Commissioner Reasi Sushma Chauhan has categorically directed all the Revenue Officers in the district to remove all encroachments on State Kahcharai and Common Lands and further directed to remain vigilant against such encroachments in near future. Taking cognizance of the directions , Tehsildar Thakrakote sought a report from Naib Tehsildar Thakrakote Khan Mir who after conducting enquiry and scrutiny of revenue record submitted a detailed factual report.
Rajesh Kumar, (Tehsildar) Assistant Collector 1st Class exercising powers vested upon him under section 133 of Land Revenue Act 1996 and on the basis of recommendations made by field staff passed orders to evict all above namely illegal encroachers from 437 Kanals 03 Marlas of Shamlat Land after providing opportunities of being heard to all encroachers. As per official reports Soba Ram, Fateh Singh, Joginder Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Angrez Singh, Surinder Singh, Sudesh Singh Makhan Singh Parkash Singh R/o Sailanjan, Soba Ram, Bhagwan Dass, Onkar Singh, Nanak Chand, Birdwood R/o Dharan, Mohan Singh, Bashir, Jan R/o Narkote, Ikram Hussain, Krishan Singh R/o Thanole, Mir Hussain, R/o Panassa, Mohd. Shaffi R/o Jij, Onkar Singh R /o Kakra Rikhi Ram, Chamail Singh etc in violation of section 133 of Land Revenue Act and standing circular instructions/orders from higher authorities from time to time have encroached upon Kahcharai and Common Land Shamlat (Mehfooz Kahcharai and Mufiday Aam ) measuring 437 Kanals 03 Marlas under various Khasra Numbers in different Villages of Tehsil Thakrakote.
Further Tehsildar Rajesh Kumar further instructed the field staff to remain vigilant in their respective areas and report immediately in case of encroachments found if any on State, Kah Charai or Common lands. Pertinent to mention that Tehsildar Thakrakote has recently retrieved 923 Kanals of state land from illegal possession of encroachers with the help of District Police Reasi. "And In last 7 months, Tehsildar Thakrakote has removed encroachments on 1360 Kanals 03 Marlas of State Kahcharai and common lands besides achieving various other targets like almost 100 percent seeding of AADHAAR Cards as per Census 2011 and etc. Local Inhabitants highly appreciated sincere efforts and timely action by Deputy Commissioner Ms Sushma Chauhan in all administrative affairs and in providing good governance at grassroot level.
