Meanwhile the locals informed "Early Times" that majority of the employees posted in Marwah sub division including revenue officials are camping at Kishtwar and do not attend their duties as a result of which the people living in the area are facing lot of problem. They said that post of Tehsildar Marwah was lying vacant and Sub Divisional Magistrate posted in the area was shifted after he suffered back pain and since then failed to attend his office at Navapachi Marwah. They said that Tehsildar Warwan namely Abid Nabi is the only officer who attended his duty at Warwan and was holding the additional charge of Tehsildar Marwah and said that the officer last week also suffered from some medical problem and had rushed to hospital for treatment at Jammu. The local said that the government also transferred the local Naib Tehsildar and replaced him with another officer Mohammad Mukhtyar whose order was later cancelled forcing him to approach the High Court that granted stay to cancellation of his transfer.
People inform them that after assuming the charge of Naib Tehsildar Marwah by Mohammad Mukthyar, the people got respite from long pending files including speedy clearance of RBA files, income certificates, character certificates and other revenue documents required by the people of the area for various purposes.
The people of the area urged upon Governor N N Vohra to fill up all the vacant posts in Marwah and Warwan Tehsils and directed the concern officials to report at Tehsil Headquarters for their duties.
