| JTC, SKF holds meeting; discuss issues being faced by KP | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 6: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee and Soan Kashmir Front was held here today under the Chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, President JTC/SKF Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting was attended by the office bearers and members of both the organizations.
During the course of meeting various difficulties being faced by the Kashmiri Pandit migrant community living a life in exile for last about 26 years were discussed.
The participants have expressed their grave concern over the step motherly treatment being provided to this migrant community by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir by turning a deaf ear to the requests and representations of the community for enhancing the cash assistance relief to the tune of Rs. 25,000/- Per family per month.
While speaking Pandita has said that since the relief holders have got no any other source of income as such have been facing difficulties in meeting their day to day domestic needs as well as heavy expenses of studies of their wards.
It has further been said that since the community has not been permanently rehabilitated as such banning issuance of RBA Certificates to those youth who belong to Reserved Backward area of Kashmir valley and putting up as migrants in Jammu is great injustice with them appeal has been made to the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir State for revoking such impugned order and ensuring release of issuance of RBA certificate to those youth who belong to Reserved Backward areas of Kashmir valley enabling them to avail benefits under the category. |
