| 5 day workshop on Library Automation inaugurated at GCOE, Jammu | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 8 : Five day workshop on library automation was inaugurated in Government college of Education Canal road, Jammu under central sponsored scheme for secondary school teachers by Prof. (Dr.) Sangita Gupta HOD Department of Library and Information Sciences, University of Jammu.
The workshop began by lighting the lamp. The welcome address was presented by Dr. Sindhu Kapoor, Convener, Literary Committee of the College. Dr. Anuradha Seth, Chief Librarian organizing secretary of the workshop read out the keynote address.
Prof.(Dr.) Sangita Gupta was the resource person who held the first technical session and she spoke at length on the theme "Library automation challenges" and resource person Romesh Chander, Assistant Librarian Central University of Jammu held the afternoon technical session and spoke on the theme "Library automation using open source software KOHA".
Secondary school teachers, librarians, IT professionals from various government schools attended the workshop. |
