Kathua, Feb 9 : The two days North India Open Karate/Kick Boxing Championship 2016 conducted by Amateur Sports Kick Boxing federation of India (R) member of Nehru Yuva Kendra Department of Govt. of India Ministry of youth affairs of sports, concluded today at Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua, today. The Championship was conducted on 7th February wherein teams from Himachal, Punjab, U.P, Patna, Delhi, J & K participated in it nearly 350 students participated and were honoured with Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. Sardar Charanjeet Singh, President Gurudwara Parbandak Committee was the chief guest. Students from Kathua were from St. Xavier convent school, Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua, and Pathways International School. All the winners were felicitated by Sardar Charanjeet, Sardar Parveen Singh, Headmaster, Choudhary Kirpal Singh, President Morning walk trust. Sardar Charanjeet Singh blessed the children with his motivating speech. He said that besides studies students should always be encouraged to participate in sports and co-curricular activities. He also appreciated all the children for participating in the competitions with great sports man spirit. Principal of Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua, thanked all the invitees and encourage children to participate in such activities without having competition of winning or losing. At this moment all the staff members of the school were also present and overall, the function was a great success. |
