Rs 3700 crore trading done between Uri, Muzaffarabad since 2008 | | | Early Times Report Baramulla, Feb 10: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday said that the trade worth Rs 3700 crore has been carried out between Uri and Muzaffarabad areas of divided Kashmir since its beginning in 2008. This was disclosed during a meeting of officers chaired by DDC Baramulla Yasha Mudgal at Kaman Post today. "It was given out that a total of 31567 trucks have so far carried goods from Uri to Muzaffarabad, while as 2881 trucks have carried goods from Muzaffarabad to Uri since 2008, amounting to a total export and import of about Rs. 3700 Crore," said an official handout. The meet was aimed at improving LoC trade through Uri and it comprehensively reviewed the status of the Cross-LoC trade. Various issues related with the LoC trade like over-loading, increasing number of trucks, rates of commodities were also discussed. |
