Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 11: Under pressure from former Health Minister and MLA Basholi's trusted lieutenants, the administration of Government Medical College Jammu is hesitating to remove hoarding installed in administrative block of the hospital.
Sources in hospital told Early Times that despite Governor's rule in State since January 10, hoarding of the former Minister installed in corridor to principal office, has not been removed by the administration.
"Principal GMC, Medical Superintendent GMCH and other administrative officers move to and fro daily where the hoarding is installed, but scared of Lal's trusted men in the hospital, no body dared to remove it", said a doctor pleading anonymity.
The doctor further said that not only hoarding of former Minister was being respected-during Governor's rule, but he (Lal Singh) is also being invited as chief guest, in official functions being organized by GMCH, after imposition of Governor's rule.
"The MLA Basohli, Ch Lal Singh was invited as chief guest by the administration of his loyal lieutenants' dictate and he inaugurated 'Sports Week' on January 22", said a doctor. He, however regretted why MLA concerned, Sat Pal Sharma who is also BJP's State president was not invited as chief guest?
"They fear that, if after Government formation, Ch Lal Singh returned as Health and Medical Education Minister, he will harass those who removed the hoarding", said a senior doctor, adding that during the Governor’s rule, majority of doctors are doing their best to serve the people, without any political pressure.
"It clearly, shows that those who have been elevated to top posts in GMCH before Governor's rule in State, are trying their best to appease their political master", the doctor said and added that reluctance of the administration is disrespecting Governor, Principal GMC, Dr Zahid Gillani, when contacted said, "Aap malik ho, aap hata do."
