Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 12: Delhi Police today arrested JNUSU president Kanhaiya Kumar in case of sedition and criminal conspiracy after ugly incident in the campus in which anti-India slogans were raised by some students alongwith outsiders. But it is widely believed that dramas, enacted at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and Press Club of India were directed from Kashmir and some 'actors' were specially deputed to conduct the drama. Scripts of these dramas were written by some Kashmir based pro-separatist leaders, who frequently visited JNU and other institutions.
Credible sources in the intelligence agencies revealed that for the last fortnight some separatists and pro-Pakistani elements were preparing to exploit Afzal Guru and Maqbool Bhat's hanging days at national level with the help of some pseudo-secularists, who are always ready to do any anti-India act to get foreign funding.
Credible sources said that majority of the anti-India politicians of Kashmir Valley were already aware that pro-Pakistani demonstrations would be held at JNU and Delhi Press Club. Some Over Ground Workers (OGWs), who have been living in different parts of Union Capital under the guise of students or researchers, had especially gone to JNU to participate in the event.
Marking the death anniversary of Afzal Guru, a group of JNU students along with some outsiders, believed to OGWs, on Tuesday held an event on the campus and shouted slogans against India.
The students shouted slogans hailing 'Shaheed Afzal Guru' and also chanted anti-India slogans. They also expressed solidarity with "struggle" of Kashmiri militants and advocated for 'Azad Kashmir'.
Not only this, several students have been raising anti-national slogans like 'Kitne Afzal Guru maroge, har ghar me paida hoga ek Afzal' and 'India ke kitne tukde honge'.
Delhi Police on Thursday registered a case of sedition in connection with an event at JNU against the hanging of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru following complaints by BJP MP Maheish Girri and RSS' student front ABVP.
