Ramban, Feb 13: A Uttar Pradesh (UP) based bootlegger was arrested along with 47 pouches of JK Whisky here today during a police checking at Bus Stand in Ramban district.
"The accused has been identified as Mohd Sajjad s/o Mohammad Anees r/o Uttar Pardesh (UP) at present Mir Bazar Ramban, police sources said Sources said, "During routine checking, police team of police station Ramban, a person namely Mohd Sajjad of Uttar Pardesh presently at Mir Bazar Ramban was stopped for checking at Bus Stand Ramban." They said, "During personal frisking and search of belongings of accused, the police team recovered 47 pouches of JK whisky from his possession, which were seized on the spot and accused was arrested on the spot." Accordingly, a case under FIR No: 26/2016 u/s 48 (a) stands registered against accused at Police Station Ramban. |
