BJP leaders influencing babus for revoking PSA of infamous criminal

JAMMU, Apr 5: Just a day after the popular coalition Government of PDP-BJP formed, the real face of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) got exposed as some leaders of the party allegedly using their office and designation pressurized some bureaucrats just for shielding a notorious criminals including one having slapped with Public Safety Act (PSA) in recent past for threatening a revenue official.
Highly placed sources stated that barely a day after the district administration slapped Public Safety Act (PSA) on a notorious criminal and history sheeter for allegedly threatening a revenue official, a delegation led by Nand Kishore unsuccessfully contested MLA of Bhartiya Janta Party from Nagrota constituency who happens to be brother of Member Parliament from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat, reached the office of the Deputy Commissioner Jammu to revoke the PSA.
While defending the said accused, the delegation pressurized the administrative official for revoking the PSA slapped on Joginder Singh who is a known land grabber and was involved in number of cases.
Sources maintained this apparently had exposed the real face of the some BJP leaders who are allegedly patronizing the anti-social elements reasons better known to themselves.
Pertinently, the District Magistrate, Jammu, Simrandeep Singh yesterday ordered detention of one Joginder Singh, a resident of Jandyal in Bhalwal tehsil under Public Safety Act (PSA) for threatening a revenue official from doing Girdawri in his area.
Joginder Singh alias Kaku, son of Balak Raj of Jandyal, who is a known history-sheeter and against whom several cases have been registered in Police Stations of Gharota, Kanachak and Domana, threatened to kill the Patwari Halqa Jandyal, Tehsil Bhalwal, while he was inspecting the fields in village Jandyal in connection with the Rabi Girdawri-2016.
The district administration had on March 27 issued a calendar for Rabi Girdawri of all 919 villages of Jammu district. The exercise began on April 1 and this incident took place on the very first day.
The accused was earlier booked in several cases on charges of murder and attempt to murder and is a known land grabber. The SDM, Jammu North conducted an inquiry into the matter on April 2 and recommended Public Safety Act against the accused.
