BJP minister urges Sangh to save him from 'humiliation'
4/17/2016 12:04:44 AM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 16: A senior BJP Minister in the State Government has complained to the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh against alleged bias towards him by some top leaders in the high command, who are critical of his style of functioning and acting as a "Chamcha" of the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.
After telephonically apprising the Sangh top brass about his grievance, this minister personally visited the RSS headquarters in Jammu yesterday and complained that he was being projected as a weak leader. He is believed to have made particular reference of the recent Jammu visit of the Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley, who allegedly ignored him.
According to the reliable sources, this senior BJP minister is also peeved over Arun Jaitley praising another BJP leader at a public meeting after inauguration of the new BJP office at Trikuta Nagar. While showering all praise on the minister for his intellect, leadership qualities and efficient working as minister, Jaitley had virtually said that there may be very senior BJP ministers in the State Government but they have not proved their worth yet.
Also in an indirect criticism of the State BJP ministers, Jaitley and national organizing secretary Ram Lal had asked them not to comprise with the party ideology.
Aggrieved over his apparent criticism and snub, sources said, that this senior BJP minister in State Government complained to the RSS top brass and sought to justify his coordinal relations with CM for smooth running of the coalition Government.
In response, the RSS leaders suggested him to brief the Sangh headquarters in Jammu without acknowledging his stand, sources explained.
Interestingly, this BJP minister, also complained that during the public function in connection with party office inauguration, a senior BJP leader had raised slogan of `Bharat Mata Ki Jai' only to mock at him because he had not done the same after concluding his speech.
