C. road near Bus stand Jammu has organised Kashmiri Food Festival named "Koshur Saal" which shall be open for favorites till May 7 2016 ranging a duration of 11 days with the sole aim to entice Jammu people with exquisite and aromatic Kashmiri platter. The unprecedented experience of ethnic Kashmiri food for taste shall be available during lunch and dinner with meal for two costs around Rs.1500 plus taxes. As one soaks in the cool interiors of the restaurant, the food festival-Feast from Kashmir-regales the foodies with an array of aromas, flavors and delicacies. The festival offers the Kashmiri cuisine, with chef More, Gaurav and Vani creating an exhaustive menu that boasts of speciality dishes from different regions of Kashmir "It's not a typical Kashmiri menu with curry, rice, lamb and vegetables that we are serving. The festival has a host of tempting options for those who like to experiment with their palate" says chef More. "The traditional Kashmiri meal, known as Wazwan, is an elaborate, multi-course affair that offers a variety of rich and aromatic dishes. The preparation of Wazwan is considered an art form and Kashmiri's regard it as an integral part of their culture and identity. Kashmiri cuisine is famous for the generous use of spices such as cardamom, saffron, fennel, asafoetida and locally grown chillies" he explained. To recreate the taste of Wazwan, our expert chef Bashir Vani who hails from Kashmir has created a menu with specialities such as Rogan Josh,Tabak Maaz and Gushtaba. For Vegetarians there are a wide variety with dishes like Kashmiri Lal Paneer, Nadru Malai Kofta and kebabs available for enjoyment.
